Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state and is also known by the name Pink City. It was founded in 1727 by Jai Singh II. Jaipur is a major sightseeing destination for the tourist from India and abroad. It has many royal palaces, museums and towering temples. Ajmer is just 130 km. away from Jaipur. It is also a very popular tourist attraction. Ajmer is famous for its artificial lake Ana Sagar Lake and Ajmer Sharif Dargah. In 16th century Mughal Emperor Akber built a palace here which houses the Ajmer Government Museum. Ajmer is a popular tourist place for both Hindus and Muslims. Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti is the most important destination of Islamic pilgrimage and visited by both Hindus and Muslims.  It is surrounded by Aravalli Mountains.  

7.ANA SAGAR LAKE -AJMER SHARIF


Pushkar is only 15km. away from Ajmer and is another famous tourist destination. It is a famous and a sacred place for Hindus. The only temple of Lord Brahma is situated in Pushkar. During the month of Karthik (Oct. and Nov.) large number of Hindus take a holy dip in the Lake of Pushkar 52 Ghats. Pushkar Mela (fair) is world famous. Pushkar lake is the most prominent spot of pilgrimage and is a site of Pushkar Mela too. Pushkar is encircled by numerous temples and ghats.
