No tour to India is complete without a visit made to Jaipur, the capital
of Rajasthan state of India. Jaipur is also known as The Pink City. Jaipur was
founded by Maharaj Jai Singh II in 1727 and ruled it from 1699-1744. Jaipur is the first planned city in India and
allures its ancient history. In 1876 the Prince of Whales visited India and
Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur got the entire city painted in pink. Jaipur is a

AMBER FORT
Amber Fort is at a distance of 11 km. from Jaipur. It is a UNESCO world
heritage site. Raja Man Singh began its construction in 1592 and was completed
by Mirja Raja Jai Singh. There is a contrast between the interior and exterior
of the fort. It is made of red sand stone and white marble. Tourists are left
spellbound to see its magnificence and grandeur. Getting to Amber Fort involves
a short uphill hike and is laid out into four sections having a spectacular garden
courtyard outside. It has some underground tunnels also which you can explore

JAIGARH FORT
Jaigarh Fort is 15 km. away from Jaipur city and is located amid rocky
and thorny scrub covered hills. It is located on Cheel ka Teela (Hill of
Eagles) and was built in 1726 AD by Sawai Jai Singh II. Jaigarh Fort is still
the property of the royal family of Jaipur. It is well maintained and has a
historical value of it. It overlooks Amer Fort and Maota Lake. It was built to
protect Amber Fort. This fort is a grand and magnificent structure. It is made
of sand stones and spread over an area of 3 km. It is located at a height of
500 feet above sea level. You will be enchanted by its panoramic view. It
houses the world’s largest cannon on the wheels called Jaivana Cannon.

JAL MAHAL
Jal Mahal is the most beautiful and wonderful sight in Jaipur. The sand color
stones amid deep blue water of the lake make it a marvelous form of

beauty. Jal Mahal seems to float on the top of Man Sagar Lake a beautiful and
calm sight to the eyes. At night it’s a beautiful sight to look at with its
glowing reflection in the Lake.

ALBERT HALL MUSEUM
Albert Hall Museum gets its name from The Victoria and Albert Museum in
London. Its foundation stone was laid by the Prince of Wales in 1876. According

India from Calcutta downwards” Albert Hall Museum has an extensive collection
of art and historically significant artifacts. The museum displays a wide range

JANTAR MANTAR -JAIPUR
Jantar Mantar is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was constructed by
Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur city in early 18th
century. Jantar Mantar is the largest astronomical observatories of the five in
the world. It contains sixteen geometric devices, designed to measure time, observe
orbits of planets around the sun and track the other celestial bodies. It has
the world’s biggest clock made of stone. It is India’s most famous
architecture. Jantar Mantar is near City Palace and Hawa Mahal.

HAWA MAHAL
Hawa Mahal the palace of winds was built by poet King Sawai Patap Singh
in 1799.It was a place for royal ladies who could see everyday life through it
without being seen themselves. Hawa Mahal is five storey structure a blend of
Hindu and Islamic architecture with 953 windows. It is a perfect retreat and
iconic landmark. Visitors can see it from outside across the road. It is
maintained by the Archaeological Department of Government of Rajasthan.

NAHARGARH FORT
Nahargarh Fort is located on the range of Aravalli Hills. It was
constructed in 1734 during the reign of Jai Singh. Nahargarh means abode of
tigers. It was expended in 1868.This fort overlooks the entire city from atop
of Aravalli Hills. Nahargarh is one of the most favorite site of the tourists.
Its extended wall is connected to Jaigarh Fort. It is beautifully built but its
main attraction is tour to Sheesh Mahal.

City Palace in Jaipur is a magnificent blend of Mughal and Rajput

Rajasthani Puppets. If want a hassle- free shopping experience then better head
to the Handicraft Emporium for quality traditional handicrafts. Three markets
are worth visiting in Jaipur Ajmeri Gate, Johari Bazar and Bapu Bazar. If you want items of fixed prices
and of quality head to Ajmeri Gate, Bapu Bazar for a quick shopping because it
is the tourist’s favorite market and Johari Bazar is all about the glittering
jewelry from top to bottom.

JHALANA LEOPARD RESERVE -SAFARI PARK
The Jhalana Leopard Reserve or Jhalana Safari Park is India’s first
Leopard Reserve located in Jaipur City Rajasthan. It’s the best place to
witness Leopard and many other animals also. It’s a fantastic place to witness a
jungle life. Far from the madding crowd and hustle bustle of the city enjoy the
company of leopards and other animals like hyena, blue bull, deer, peacock
monkeys and many others. Jhalana Leopard Reserve is spread over 20 square
kilometers with immense flora and fauna. It’s just 11 km. away from Jaipur
City. There is a safari fees which ranges from 10,000 -12000 may vary from lean
