Depression is a mood disorder .There is a feeling of sadness, low mood, anger in activities all are included  in Depression. It has become very common to experience and to hear about depression in people of every age because of a very complicated lifestyle of the people. Among children and youth it is due to ever changing norms of the family and the society .Depression interferes in our daily work and activities and as a result in lower productivity. In children it effects their studies and in youth their careers.
       

 Depression influences relationship and health. Though feeling low is very common in life but long   sadness and grief is a matter of concern in all whether a child , a youth or an aged one. It is a       matter of concern if it lasts for long. Feeling crippled on a daily basis could be a sign of       Depression. It is negativity and anxiety in a person . Depression is a profound feeling of sadness,     lack of  concentration and fatigue. The sign of Depression are also hopelessness, emptiness and       mood disorder, lack of  interest in family members and friends. 

         
Depression is a disease of mind and not a body. There is a feeling of social isolation in it. Sometimes it is caused by sorrow. It is a mood disorder .It effects our nervous system It creates panic attacks. In Depression a person feels past a tragedy, present full of suffering and future hopeless. It is an invisible illness. It is not a normal condition if not cured in time it may lead a person to serious medical condition.
        
        


SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION IN MEN , WOMEN:AND CHILDREN:

Symptom of depression are different  in men ,women and children. Men may experience anger, aggressiveness ,irritability, anxiousness and restlessness. Emotionally men may feel empty ,sad and hopeless. Men generally in this condition have no interest in any activities, they feel tired ,think of committing suicide ,drink excessively, unable to concentrate. Women too may feel sadness and emptiness. They withdraw themselves from social engagement. Their talking process becomes slow either they wake up early or sleep too much. They feel great fatigue ,decreased energy, weight loss or weight gain. In children anger, mood swing, intense sadness, despair can be seen .They refuse to go to school ,avoid going out to play, don't mix up with friends, unable to concentrate and decline in school performance also.
 
         


CAUSES OF DEPRESSION :

Though depression is a very complicated psychological problem that can't be defined in words but can be observed easily. There may be many causes of depression .It may be biological or circumstantial .In family history if  someone has mood disorder or depression in past it  naturally it can effect the coming generation .Some sad or unusual event of childhood may effect a person .If frontal lobe of  your brain is less active depression is natural. Sometimes chronic or long disease may be the cause of depression. Misuse of drug or alcohol can be cause of depression .Our mood ,appetite, sleep, activity and thought all depend on our mental condition. Sometimes thyroid problem or a Vitamin D deficiency can also trigger symptoms of depression . Causes of depression may be break ups, bitter relationship, ,old age ,lack of care, slowness in activity, loneliness, domestic violence, illness and post surgery. Depression is also caused by the us of drugs as mentioned above. Depression sucks happiness of your life and relations.
